I love Chinese food. It is probably my favorite overall. Even though my Mom's Mexican food kicks ass.

BUT...

Chinese food is the worst freaking leftover ever. It never tastes good the 2nd day. Never. My favorite Chinese restaurant Lai Lai Dumpling House in Houston is the best. Take it home. Put it in the fridge. Take it out the next day and dump it. It taste like ass.

WHY?

:O I think it really depends on what you get! Dumplings are fried. Fried food and cream sauces do not withstand the test of (overnight) time.

It actually depends on what you order. Lo mein is just as good the second day, but anything breaded (like that crispy shrimp and General Tso's we had leftover from the other night) will suck. I would think Kung Pao would keep ok also since it isn't breaded.

I will still eat the Lai Lai leftovers though anytime, babe.
